Etching Prints
Being offered for sale is the vintage MATTED & FRAMED (high-quality, hardwood (best guess, solid oak) & glass frame) ETCHING PRINT of FRITZ EBEL'S (German artist Fritz Ebel, 1890-1946, not to be confused with Fritz Carl Warner Ebel, 1835-1895), "KELLER - SEE IN HOLSTEIN" (Kellersee is a lake in the Holstein Switzerland region of North Germany) OIL PAINTING, printed using HERR RUDOLPH SCHUSTER'S COPPER ETCHING ("Kupferatzung von Rud. Schuster" translates to "Copper etching from Rudolph. Schuster"), circa the early -to- mid 20th century (best guess), as seen in the pictures/as described in the title. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES. Being offered for sale AS-FOUND, uncleaned. May require a thorough detailing to bring to its full potential. SATISFACTION GUARANTEED or your money back...no questions asked!
Both the art and frame are in Very Good vintage condition. Matte has some stains throughout (mostly at top, see pics) but print itself looks clean (as much as we can tell by inspecting thru the glass). The frame's inner border detailed work is damaged at multiple spots, all the way around and remains very fragile. Even the lightest brush against it will cause further damage. Take care when handling. The frame is very heavy-duty and structurally strong. NO chips, cracks, breaks or repairs to glass. Metal hanging wire attached at backside. The wood board backing is original and we DID NOT remove it (possible treasures back there!! :). Virtually all of the original paper backing is gone. See pics.
Frame measures 42-3/4" wide x 33-3/4" tall x 1-1/2" deep/thick, overall. Edition size (outer extents of art) is 28-1/2" wide x 19" tall. Total weight is 20 lbs. 3.0 oz..
PLEASE NOTE: Due to the extra large size & heavy weight of this item, high shipping cost will be unavoidable. That being said, if the shipping calculator is showing you an astronomical number and/or shows no price at all, please message us for shipping quote(s). We will provide the most economical options availible to us.
