(Antique American Folk Art)) WOODEN TRINKET BOX (not wide enough to fit cigarettes and a bit too wide for toothpicks, FYI) featuring HAND-CARVED & HAND-PAINTED FIGURAL MAN/WOMAN and MECHANICAL/LEVER-ACTION LID (lever at backside raises lid while also extending/telescoping the man & woman's necks/heads) by unknown maker (no visible maker's mark(s)), from circa the mid -to- late 19th century (best guess), as seen in the pictures/as described in the title. CONDITION NOTES:
Very Good/VG+ antique condition with minor -to- moderate overall wear throughout (scuffs, scratches, stains, dings, dents, etc.) from normal use over the years but NO breaks or repairs. Mechanical/lever-action features work like-new. Features outstanding, rich patina to all materials throughout. All-in-all, a fantastic example of an unusual double-handled copper bowl. See pics.
