Antique LEATHER STUFFED ANIMAL Custom/Folk Art FUNKY HIPPO DOG Wood & Glass Eyes

Out of stock

Stuffed Animal

ITEM DESCRIPTION:

Being offered for sale is the vintage/antique DARK GREEN LEATHER (with light gray stitching) STUFFED ANIMAL (looks mostly like a Hippopotamus to me but I can see a cartoon-like dog with wacky proportions too...you be the judge - features carved wood eyeballs and black glass eyes & nostrils (99% sure they're glass but we could be wrong)) by unknown maker (no visible maker's mark(s) - likely American folk art/custom homemade/handmade), from circa the early -to- mid 20th century (best guess - possibly late 19th but my gut says 1920's or so...again, you be the judge), as seen in the pictures/as described in the title. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES. Being offered for sale as-found, uncleaned. May require a thorough detailing to bring to its full potential.

SATISFACTION GUARANTEED or your money back...no questions asked!

CONDITION NOTES:

Very Good/VG+ vintage/antique condition with just minor overall wear but NO breaks or repairs. Remains firmly stuffed and not nearly as fragile feeling as you might think. Well made with quality materials and skilled workmanship. See pics.

DIMENSIONS & WEIGHT:

Measures 8" tall x 4-1/4" wide x 7" deep, overall. Weighs 9.0 oz..
