Being offered for sale is the vintage SURFACE PLATE LAPPING TOOL No. "5-270" in Original GORGEOUS FELT-LINED HARDWOOD BOX/CASE (with brass 'screw & hook' hardware) by "PRATT & WHITNEY CO." from circa the early -to- mid 20th century (best guess), as seen in the pictures/as described in the title. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES. Being offered for sale as-found, uncleaned. May require a thorough detailing to bring to its full potential.

CONDITION NOTES:

Very Good/VG+ vintage condition with minor -to- moderate overall cosmetic wear, to be expected with a piece of its age. We see NO break or repairs. Lid does not rest complete flush either way you try it but hooks still hold it closed well. Box features very nice, rich patina throughout. See pics.
