Out of stock
Plaques & Signs
Being offered for sale is the vintage COPPER (with brass pipe substructure) PIG WEATHERVANE (full bodied (hollow) with faux verdigris patina - actually looks like it had some decent real patina that a previous owner decided to "spruce-up" by artificially adding more - unconfirmed) PLUS (1) COPPER BALL/SPHERE (possibly came with 2 balls and 1 is missing - unconfirmed), SOLID BRASS N/S/E/W DIRECTIONALS and (optional) STEEL ROD/POLE (the shipping box would be much smaller if you opt to forgo the pole, thus making the shipping cost considerably cheaper - message us with your zip code for shipping quote without the pole) by unknown maker (no visible maker's mark(s)), from circa the mid -to- late 20th century (our best guess would be c.1950-60's - possibly a bit older...but not likely), as seen in the pictures/as described in the title. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES. Being offered for sale AS-FOUND, uncleaned. May require a thorough detailing to bring to its full potential. SATISFACTION GUARANTEED or your money back...no questions asked!
CONDITION NOTES:
Good/VG vintage condition with minor -to- moderate overall cosmetic wear (i.e. scuffs, scratches, stains, dings, dents, etc.) from exposure to the elements over the years but NO breaks or repairs to any parts/pieces. Again, possibly missing the larger of the (2) balls typically seen with this style of weathervane. Small ball present with matching faux patina. No issues with the directionals and both have their original set-screws. Rod/pole is solid & strong, with minimal rust. Vast majority of original black japanning remains. Very nice, near-complete mid-century example! See pics.
DIMENSIONS & WEIGHT:
Pig measures 28-3/8" wide (nose to tip of tail) x 20-1/2" tall (overall, including pipe substructure) x approx. 1-1/4" thick/deep (at thickest part of body). Directionals are 22" wide. Ball is 2-3/8" diameter around center x 2" tall. Rod/pole is 4'-6" long. Total weight (with rod) is 11 lbs. 0.5 oz.. Total weight (without rod) is 6 lbs. 8.0 oz..
PLEASE NOTE: The inflated shipping cost for this item is to help offset the high price of insuring the package at full purchase price. Please take this into consideration and work it into your offer(s).
