ITEM DESCRIPTION:

Being offered for sale is the antique BROAD / HEWING AXE (we believe it is a New York Pattern) marked "G.W. BRADLEY - CAST STEEL" (also stamped with an arrow & "B" logo, see 2nd pic) from circa the mid -to- late 19th or very early 20th century (company operated in Connecticut from 1812 until about 1906), as seen in the pictures/as described in the title. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES. Being offered for sale as-found, uncleaned. May require a thorough detailing to bring to its full potential. SATISFACTION GUARANTEED or your money back...no questions asked!

CONDITION NOTES:

Good/VG antique condition with moderate overall wear throughout (i.e. dings, dents, scuffs, scratches, stains, etc.) but NO major breaks or repairs. Virtually zero rust but moderate -to- severe areas of pitting. Blade is far from smooth (many tiny/small nicks, see pics) but remains very sharp. Chunk of original handle remains wedged in eye. We would gladly drill it out for you prior to shipping, upon request. Otherwise, it shall be sent as shown. See pics.

Measures 8-1/8" at blade edge x 9" wide, blade -to- butt. Weighs 5 lbs. 2.5 oz..
