Being offered for sale is the antique GUTTER/CANOE/SPOUT ADZE with FLAT-HEAD END by "D. SIMMONS & CO." (marked at underside of head - see 3rd & 4th pics) from circa the late 19th or early 20th century (best guess), as seen in the pictures/as described in the title. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES. Being offered for sale AS-FOUND, uncleaned. May require a thorough detailing/blade work/sharpening to bring to its full potential.

CONDITION NOTES:

Good/VG antique condition with minor -to- moderate overall wear from normal use over the years but NO breaks or repairs. Blade is quite is smooth but rather dull. Handle looks to be original or very close in age, at the very least and is in great shape. Structurally solid & strong. Head is firmly attached to handle with ZERO play/wobble. Outstanding, rich patina to all materials throughout. Very nice example!! See pics.

Measures 29-3/4" long, overall. Head is 9" wide. Blade is 4-3/8" long. Flat end is approx. 2" x 1-1/2". Total weight is 4 lbs. 10.5 oz..
