Very Good/VG++ vintage condition with just minor overall wear from brief/infrequent use over the years. Original, dark- maroon japanning is in excellent shape. Virtually zero rust or pitting. Base is smooth. Blade edge is smooth and very sharp. Handle & knob are rigid & strong. This is one solid, like-new, fully functional woodworking plane with stellar eye-appeal! See pics.
