Being offered for sale is the antique LITHOGRAPHY PRINT (authentically old, reproduction print) of JOHN J. AUDUBON'S "CAROLINE PIGEON or TURTLE DOVE" (No. 4, Plate 17),  "Engraved, Printed & Coloured by R. Havell & Son, London", in an old hardwood & glass frame (found with print), from circa the mid -to- late 19th century (best guess), as seen in the pictures/as described in the title. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES. Being offered for sale as-found, uncleaned. May require a thorough detailing to bring to its full potential.

CONDITION NOTES:

Print is in Very Good antique condition with minor -to- moderate overall wear (typical of its age) but we see nothing major. Frame has moderate -to- severe wear (both cosmetic and structurally - see pics) and should be considered as a bonus item (mainly to help protect the print during shipping). Backing nails have been removed (during inspection of the print) and bagged (taped to back). Backing held in place by painter's tape (see last pic(s)). See pics.

 

DIMENSIONS & WEIGHT:

Print measures approx. 19" tall x 16" wide. Total weight in frame is 3 lbs. 13.5 oz..
