ITEM DESCRIPTION:
Being offered for sale is the vintage/antique ORIGINAL OIL PAINTING (autumn cottage/cabin/house set in forest/wooded/country setting) on CANVAS (in large, ornate, gold-gilded frame) signed by unknown/unlisted artist "JAADV.KREATEN" (clearly not what it says but certainly what it looks like to us - see 3rd picture for close-up) from circa the late 19th -to- early or mid 20th century (best guess - frame may be older than painting or vice versa), as seen in the pictures/as described in the title. CONDITION NOTES:
Painting/canvas is in Very Good/VG+ antique condition with just minor cosmetic blemishes throughout but absolutely nothing major nor anything noticeable unless looking closely for small defects. NO rips or tears. Frame has multiple areas of minor -to- moderate damage throughout (see red arrows in pics 4, 5 and 8 for largest defects - additional smaller defects can also be seen in many/most other pictures upon close inspection using the zoom/magnification feature) but remains structurally rigid & strong and still displays quite nicely. Features superb, subtle patina and light crazing throughout. Canvas was either poorly fitting within frame or has since been knocked askew (see red arrows in 7th & 11th pics). When viewed at eye-level, the gaps are hidden but when viewed from above and/or below, the gaps become clearly visible. See pics.
DIMENSIONS & WEIGHT:
Frame measures 35" wide x 27" tall x 4-1/4" deep/thick, overall at outer edge(s). Visible window of canvas (i.e. inner edge of frame) measures 26-7/8" wide x 19-3/16" tall. Canvas (measured at backside) is 27-5/8" wide x 19-3/4" tall. Total weight is 11 lbs. 5.5 oz..
