Boxes
Being offered for sale is the antique HOMEMADE / CUSTOM WOOD SAW/TOOL BOX (with a unique two-tone painted finish (fantastically weathered & worn), all steel/iron hardware (especially neat hinges) and upper shelf storage at interior (unusual, useful feature)), by unknown maker (no visible maker's mark(s) - most likely home/custom made), from circa the late 19th or early 20th century (best guess - possibly a bit older) plus a BONUS, BROKEN YALE PADLOCK (shackle clicks closed but does NOT lock - will pop open with ease when the case is pulled on - included as a functional way to keep the latch from falling off the ring, holding the lid closed when moving the box (and it matches nicely, lol) - it is to be considered an extra/bonus item), as seen in the pictures/as described in the title. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES. Being offered for sale AS-FOUND, uncleaned. May require a thorough detailing to bring to its full potential. SATISFACTION GUARANTEED or your money back...no questions asked!
Good/VG antique condition with moderate overall wear from normal use and/or exposure to the elements over its 100+ years but NO major breaks or repairs. Remains structurally rigid and very strong. All hardware is functional and strong. Again, the padlock is broken (but serves an important purpose - see above paragraph for more info) and shall be considered a bonus item. Outstanding, artfully aged patina to all materials throughout. This is one awesomely unique old tool chest!! See pics.
Measures 32-1/8" wide x 9" deep x 7" tall. Saw storage will allow for saws no longer than 30" and no taller than 5-1/2", overall. Total weight is 11 lbs. 4.0 oz..
