Being offered for sale is the antique COOPER'S/BARREL MAKER'S DRAW KNIFE (curved blade) by L. & I.J. WHITE (extremely worn and aside from the visible oval shape, completely illegible maker's mark at center of blade - we are like 75% sure of maker, as it was found with a few other marked L. & I.J. White tools from the same owner - that being said, we could be wrong and it could be by another maker), of Buffalo, New York, circa the mid -to- late 19th century (best guess), as seen in the pictures/as described in the title. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES. Being offered for sale AS-FOUND, uncleaned (except at/around the maker's mark, which was lightly wire-wheeled as required to determine manufacturer). Good/VG antique condition with minor-to- moderate overall wear from normal use over the years but NO breaks or repairs. Blade is quite sharp but has many tiny nicks (see pics). Moderate rust and pitting throughout. Original/previous owner's initials "A.D." stamped in three places & "G.S." stamped in one place (see last 2 pics). Both solid wood handles are secure and strong. Features superbly rich patina to all materials throughout. See pics.

Measures 17" wide, overall, handle to handle x 6-1/2" tall, overall. Blade is 6-3/4" wide x 2" tall, with an approx. 1-1/4" deep curve. Weighs 1 lb. 15.8 oz..
