Drafting Tools
Being offered for sale is the antique HAND DRAFTING SET / 10 Piece ARCHITECTURAL/ENGINEERING TOOL KIT No. 715 in Original LEATHER & FELT-LINED CASE by Keuffel & Esser (K+E) and/or Alteneder & Sons (we believe the (2) Ebony-handled Ruling Pens are by Alteneder (both marked "PAT. FEB.4.04") and the rest are by K+E (none marked but look like many others by K+E that we found online), from German, circa the early 20th century (as per marked 1904 patent date), as seen in the pictures/as described in the title. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR CONDITION NOTES. Being offered for sale AS-FOUND, uncleaned. May require a thorough detailing to bring to its full potential. SATISFACTION GUARANTEED or your money back...no questions asked!
Entire set is in Very Good/VG+ antique condition with just minor -to- moderate overall cosmetic wear from normal use over the years. The original case has moderate -to- severe wear (large rip at bottom and heavily worn edges throughout, see pics) but is quite clean and remains structurally strong. Both brass snap buttons are present and work well. All-in-all, a nice example of a hard to find set!! See pics.
Please see ruler in pictures for size/scale reference. Additional measurements shall be provided upon request. Total weight of set is 11.8 oz..
