Being offered for sale is the vintage small/mini/tiny JEWELER'S / TINSMITH / WATCHMAKER'S CROSS-PEEN HAMMER (approx. 1/2 ounce head - handle looks to be original but is clearly broken and is also initialed "EF" at one side, see pics) by "DIXON" of "FRANCE" (as lightly incised at one side of head, see pics), from circa the early -to- mid 20th century (best guess), as seen in the pictures/as described in the title. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES. Being offered for sale AS-FOUND, uncleaned. May require a thorough detailing to bring to its full potential.

CONDITION NOTES:

AGAIN, HANDLE IS CLEARLY BROKEN (but adds to the "cuteness factor"). not sure how many came with it). Hammer head is in Very Good/VG+ vintage condition with just minor -to- moderate overall cosmetic wear (scuffs, scratches, stains, dings, dents, etc.) from normal use over the years but we see NO additional breaks or repairs. See pics.

 

DIMENSIONS & WEIGHT:

Head measures 2-1/8" wide with 5/16" diameter face. Overall, measures 4-1/4".

Total weight 0.8 oz. (so approx. 0.5 oz. head).
