Bottles

ITEM DESCRIPTION:

Being offered for sale is the lot of 23 vintage/antique ACL (applied color label) CROWN SODA/MINERAL and/or SPARKLING WATER BOTTLES plus "STEINBERGER'S QUALITY BEVERAGES" - "KLONDIKE EXTRA DRY" WOODEN CRATE/BOX (with steel wrapped corners/edges AND original cardboard dividers - 30 slots total) all by LOUIS STEINBERGER & SONS, INC. of Jersey City, N.J., from circa 1904-1925 (as per internet research - company existed from 1883-1925 but we found no reference to "Klondike" until 1904 - take these dates with a grain of salt...not much info available on this relatively short-lived company), as seen in the pictures/as described in the title. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES. Bottles have been quickly brushed & rinsed (they cleaned up GREAT!) and crate lightly dusted off. Still may require a more thorough detailing to bring to their full potential.

SATISFACTION GUARANTEED or your money back...no questions asked!

CONDITION NOTES:

22 of the 23 bottles are in excellent, near mint or better condition, some with just minor cosmetic wear (lights stains, scuffs, scratches and/or tiny areas of missing or worn pyro) and others virtually factory mint. None of those 22 have any chips, cracks, breaks or repairs. 1 of the 23 has a chip/flake off at one side of its base (it isn't too bad at all - barely noticed it - still displays near mint or better). The crate is in Good/Very Good vintage condition with minor -to- moderate overall wear from normal use & exposure to the elements over the years. Remains structurally rigid & ultra strong. Graphics/text is clearly visible at 3 of the 4 outer panels (one side panel is pretty severely stained, see 11th pic). Original cardboard dividers are in tact but are dry, brittle & fragile and have been taped at one slot (virtual non-issue but noteworthy nonetheless). All-in-all, a fantastic lot of rare soda/water bottles & matching crate! See pics.

DIMENSIONS & WEIGHT:

Crate measures 16" wide x 12-3/4" deep x 9-1/4" tall.

Each bottle is 8-1/2" tall x 2-1/8" diameter (at base).

Total weight of lot is 26 lbs. 10.0 oz..
