Knives

Being offered for sale is the vintage BUTCHER'S KNIFE by A.F. BANNISTER & CO. of Newark, N.J., from circa the late 19th or early 20th century (company existed from 1884 to 1915...not much more info available online), as seen in the pictures/as described in the title. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES. Being offered for sale AS-FOUND, uncleaned. May require a thorough detailing to bring to its full potential. SATISFACTION GUARANTEED or your money back...no questions asked!

Very Good/VG+ vintage condition with just minor overall wear from normal use over the years. Blade is quite clean with minimal, light pitting throughout and is sort of sharp but could certainly use a fresh sharpening. One of the wood handle's scales has been repaired (you can see the split line and some sloppy glue at ends, see last (5) pics) but remains structurally solid & strong. The maker's mark is clearly visible at one side of blade (see 2nd & 3rd pics). Very nice example of a hard to find knife! See pics.

Measures 13-1/8" long, overall. Blade is 7-3/4" long. Weighs 15.2 oz..
