Being offered for sale is the vintage SLAG GLASS MARBLE (opaque white base w/ translucent red & opaque beige/tan spiral/corkscrew) HOT ROD GEAR SHIFT KNOB / CANE TOP (with solid brass downsizing adapter) by unknown maker (no visible maker's marks...pattern(s)/swirls look very Akro Agate Co. to me but remain unsure) from circa the 1920's or 1930's (best educated guess), as seen in the pictures/as described in the title. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES. Being offered for sale AS-FOUND, uncleaned. May require a thorough detailing to bring to its full potential. Very Good/VG+ vintage condition with minor overall cosmetic wear (i.e. tiny scuffs/scratches, fleabites, etc. (largest blemish is front & center in the first picture and is pointed to by the green arrow in the 2nd picture) but absolutely NO major chips, cracks, breaks, repairs or any major blemishes. Displays Near Mint or better!! Glass surface is slightly dulled but remains moderately wet looking. Threads to both the insert & brass adapter are good and fully functional. All-in-all a fantastic example with a extraordinary spiral/9-pattern(s)!! See pics.
Measures exactly 2" diameter (around fattest part) x 1-31/32" tall. Without adapter, the shaft hole is 9/16" diameter at threads. Adapter steps it down to 11/32" diameter (at inner threads) and is 5/8" tall. Total weight is 6.6 oz..
