Being offered for sale is the antique LARGE COPPER FRYING PAN / SKILLET (tinned) with COPPER-RIVETED CAST IRON HANDLE plus MISMATCHED LID (just a little too small - almost fits but falls short of being able to rest on pan rim - may still be useful(?)) by unknown maker (no visible maker's mark(s)), from circa the mid -to- late 19th century (best guess), as seen in the pictures/as described in the title. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES. Being offered for sale AS-FOUND, uncleaned. May require a thorough detailing to bring to its full potential.

CONDITION NOTES:

Good/VG antique condition with minor -to- moderate overall cosmetic wear but NO major breaks or repairs. DOES NOT sit flat. Leans back/towards handle, with an approximately 3/16" wobble/lean. Tin worn at interior (continues to flake off). LID DOES NOT FIT (falls just short of being able to rest on pan's rim). Both pieces feature superb, rich patina throughout. See pics.

 

DIMENSIONS & WEIGHT:

Pan measures 23" long, overall. Outer edge of rim is 13-1/4" diameter x 1-1/2" tall.

Lid measures 21-1/8" long, overall. Outer edge is 12-7/8" diameter at outer edge and would fit nicely on a pot/pan with 12" diameter rim (plus or minus 1/8").

Total weight is 6 lbs. 14.0 oz..
