Being offered for sale is the antique STONEWARE WINE CANTEEN / MOLDED JUG (with original metal wire & wood handle...and cork stuck inside) by WHITES POTTERY of UTICA, N.Y., made for "I.F. & K. WINES" (cobalt blue shield-monogram-logo at front, plus decorative leaves throughout), from circa the late 19th or very early 20th century (1890-1907, as per internet research), as seen in the pictures/as described in the title. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR CONDITION NOTES. Being offered for sale AS-FOUND, uncleaned. May require a thorough detailing to bring to its full potential. SATISFACTION GUARANTEED or your money back...no questions asked!

Excellent antique condition with just very minor cosmetic wear from normal use over the decades. NO breaks or repairs. At lower right corner of logo, there's a maker's defect/crease line that might look like a crack to you...it is NOT cracked (see 3rd pic...please note that the color is a bit off/washed-out in this picture). Light crazing throughout (only visible when looking closely for it). Wire handle is strong and original wood grip is solid with just minor wear at edges. A cork is stuck inside canteen (may or may not be original). Sits level on its two "feet", with no wobble. Simply fantastic patina throughout. Superb example of a hard to find stoneware canteen! See pics.

Measures 11" tall (base to lip) x 10" wide/diameter x 4-1/2" deep/thick. Inner rim of lip is 1" (for replacement cork) and wood handle is 3" wide. Weighs 6 lbs. 8.5 oz..
