Vases
Being offered for sale is the vintage/antique CARVED/SCULPTED JADE LIDDED/COVERED VASE (Roses & Bird motif) by unknown origin or maker (no visible maker's mark(s)/signatures) from circa the late 19th or early 20th century (stab in the dark, "gut feeling" age guess...could be way off in either direction), as seen in the pictures/as described in the title. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR CONDITION NOTES. Being offered for sale AS-FOUND, uncleaned. May require a thorough detailing to bring to its full potential. SATISFACTION GUARANTEED or your money back...no questions asked!
When found, the lid of this vase was broken and in multiple pieces. We carefully glued together all of the pieces we had. Sadly, at least (3) small pieces/sections are forever missing (see 8th & 9th pics for ALL of the broken/glued connection points (red arrows) and broken/missing pieces/sections). THE GOOD NEWS is that the bottom portion/vase itself is NOT broken or repaired and remains in Very Good/VG+ condition. Some more good news, in my opinion at least, is that the damage/missing pieces are barely noticeable unless specifically looking for them. The piece, as a whole still displays beautifully!! See pics.
Measures 7-1/2" tall, overall (lidded) and 4-1/2" tall, base to lip (excluding lid) x approx. 5-1/2" wide, (rose -to- rose) x approx. 2-3/4" deep (front to back). Total weight is 1 lb. 3.0 oz..
