Being offered for sale is the antique COOPER'S BOWL and/or BARREL MAKING ADZE marked "HAWKINS" over "135 LEWIS ST., NV" (no precedent nor any info at all found on this maker) from circa the late 19th or early 20th century (best guess), as seen in the pictures/as described in the title. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES. Being offered for sale AS-FOUND, uncleaned (with exception of the maker's mark area, underside of blade, see 2nd & 3rd pics). May require a thorough detailing to bring to its full potential. SATISFACTION GUARANTEED or your money back...no questions asked!

Very Good/VG+ antique condition with minor -to- moderate overall wear from normal use over the years but NO breaks or repairs. Steel has light layer of rust throughout, with the top of blade being the heaviest area (see 9th pic). To the naked eye, the blade edge has (2) small nicks and (3) ultra tiny nicks (see 2nd pic). The gorgeously aged solid handle remains very solid & strong with some minor wear & tear at top end and fantastic battle scars throughout. Superb patina to all materials. See pics.

Measures 10-1/8" tall, overall. Handle is 6-7/8" long. Head is 8-5/8" wide. Blade is 3" wide. Hammer face is 1-5/8" square. Weighs 4 lbs. 3.5 oz..
