Being offered for sale is the antique COLLAPSIBLE/FOLDING WOODEN (walnut, we believe) HIGH-CHAIR (with embroidered seat & backrest and (4) cast iron wheels), by unknown maker (no visible maker's mark(s)), from circa the late 19th or early 20th century (best guess), as seen in the pictures/as described in the title. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES. Being offered for sale AS-FOUND, uncleaned. May require a thorough detailing to bring to its full potential. SATISFACTION GUARANTEED or your money back...no questions asked!
Good/VG- antique condition with minor -to- moderate overall wear & tear from normal use over the years but remains structurally solid & strong. Folding/collapsing action functions without issue. Left armrest is missing the circle medallion insert and also missing a screw at underside (at connection point to seat), which has left it loose at the base and allows the vertical post it to rotate (see red arrows in 3rd & 5th pics - has very little impact/affect but noteworthy nonetheless). Multiple rips/holes/pulls at both seat & backrest embroidery (blue arrows in 3rd picture point to many/most (but not all)). Large ring stain and other smaller blemishes at tray (see 10th & 11th pics). Superb, rich patina to all materials throughout. Fully functional and ready to use as a practical high-chair, perfect as-is for a display/decor/collector's piece and/or would make for a prime restoration piece. See pics.
Measures 37-1/4" tall (overall) x 16-1/2" wide (at back legs/feet) x 25-1/4" deep (overall). When in folded-down position, measures 38-1/2" long x 21-1/2" tall x 16-1/2" wide. Weighs 13 lbs. 5.0 oz..
