Being offered for sale is the VERY RARE, SELDOM SEEN antique SODA CRATE by "ORANGE SURPRISE SYRUP & BOTTLING CO. of MORRISTOWN, N.J. from circa 1917 (as per date at sides of crate), as seen in the pictures/as described in the title. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES. Being offered for sale as-found, uncleaned. May require a thorough detailing to bring to its full potential.

CONDITION NOTES:

Rough antique condition with moderate -to- severe overall wear, both cosmetically & structurally. Loose & wobbly but not terribly fragile. Practical use of the crate is out of the question but it is not going to fall apart on you with as little as a harsh glance. Should be handled with care regardless. Damage at base and at all side panels. Large nail has been poorly placed, through one of the (24) holes (see 7th and 9th pics). Features outstanding patina throughout. See pics.

 

DIMENSIONS & WEIGHT:

Measures 17" wide x 10-1/2" deep x 8" tall. The (24) holes in the insert measure 1-1/2" diameter. Weighs 5 lbs. 10.0 oz..
