Being offered for sale is the lot/set of 4 genuine antique, salvaged CASTER WHEELS (swivel-top plate type with iron/steel construction (features brass/bronze-looking finish) and double wooden wheels) by "TUCKER" (embossed at underside of top plate, see 2nd pic for close-up) from circa 1886 (as per patent date also embossed at underside of top plate, which reads "PATENT AUG. 17, 86" (see 3rd pic)), as seen in the pictures/as described in the title. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES. Being offered for sale as-found, uncleaned. May require a thorough detailing to bring to their full potential. CONDITION NOTES:
All four are in Very Good/VG+ antique/salvaged condition with minor -to- moderate overall wear from normal use over the years but NO breaks or repairs. One wheel has a minor/small flat spot (see red arrow in last pic - also visible at far left of 1st picture), which is virtually inconsequential but noteworthy nonetheless. All remain structurally solid & strong. All are fully functional, ready to install casters with outstanding, genuine patina throughout!! See pics.
DIMENSIONS & WEIGHT:
Wheels measure approx. 1-3/8" diameter each. Overall, 1-3/4" wide, wheel -to- wheel x 2" tall, wheels -to- top of plate. Top plates are 1-7/8" wide x 1-5/16" deep. Center-to-center of mounting holes measure 1-7/16" wide x 5/8" deep, respectively. Total weight of set is 1 lb. 2.2 oz..
