Being offered for sale is the antique WOODEN BOX / SMALL TRUNK / TRINKET CHEST by unknown maker (no visible maker's marks...possibly AAFA/homemade folk art) from circa the late 19th or early 20th century (best guess...possibly a little older), as seen in the pictures/as described in the title. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR CONDITION NOTES. Being offered for sale AS-FOUND, uncleaned. May require a thorough detailing to bring to its full potential. SATISFACTION GUARANTEED or your money back...no questions asked!
Good/Very Good antique condition with minor -to- moderate overall wear but remains structurally rigid & strong. All solid brass hardware (hinges, latches, corner brackets & escutcheon) is in great shape and is fully functional. NO key included...and it looks to us that the lock may not be functional anyway. If you are able to find a working key, the lock may or may not work (but who cares, right?!?). Features superbly rich patina to all materials throughout and subtly awesome old light-green paint stains throughout. All-in-all, an extraordinary old chest with fantastic eye-appeal!! See pics.
Measures 18" wide x 8-7/8" deep x 9-1/4" tall. Weighs 7 lbs. 5.5 oz..
