PLEASE NOTE: This bronze bas relief is (1) of (3) different panels we recently obtained & offered for sale. Be sure to check our store for 2 more incredible bronze bas reliefs (if they haven't already sold, that is).
Being offered for sale is the vintage, MID-CENTURY REPRODUCTION BRONZE BAS RELIEF (titled/stickered "THE SENTENCE OF DEATH") of the ancient religious scene/story panel that adorns "...THE PORTALS OF THE BASILICA OF S. ZENO IN VERONA / ITALY" (as per sticker at backside, see last 3 pics), from circa the mid 20th century (as per the previous owner's claim that her parents obtained it during their vacation to Italy in the 1950's - no precedent(s) nor much info found online), as seen in the pictures/as described in the title. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES. Being offered for sale as-found, uncleaned. May require a thorough detailing to bring to its full potential. SATISFACTION GUARANTEED or your money back...no questions asked!
Excellent vintage condition with just minor cosmetic wear throughout (may have some scuffs, scratches, stains, dings, dents, etc.) but NO breaks or repairs. Please note that it looks like the reproduction casting was designed with imperfections to mimic normal/typical damage seen on many authentic ancient items (see red arrows in 5th & 10th pics for just a couple examples of said 'fake damage"). Both a recently applied and older stickers present at backside (see last 3 pics). The extremely rich looking patina at front is faux/artistically applied. The bronze at backside was left unfinished/exposed and has since developed a light layer of genuine patina (see last 3 pics). See pics.
