Bits, Chisels & Breaker Points

Being offered for sale is the vintage/antique 1-1/2" BEVELED EDGE CHISEL by I. SORBY of SHEFFIELD, ENGLAND, circa the late 19th or early 20th century (best guess), as seen in the pictures/as described in the title. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR CONDITION NOTES. SATISFACTION GUARANTEED or your money back...no questions asked!

Very Good vintage condition with just minor -to- moderate overall wear from normal use over the years. One chipped corner of blade (see red arrows in pictures 2, 6 & 9). Approx. 3" length remains of the 1-1/2" wide blade after many years of use & sharpening. Blade edge is quite sharp and has some stains/tiny areas of pitting but is free of rust and both maker's marks are clearly visible. Mark at top of blade is deeply & crisply incised. The mark at underside of blade is a little weak at the first half of "SHEFFIELD" but the really cool dragon is pretty clear (see 3rd & 8th pics). The solid, turned wood handle has a small chunk gouged out and some other minor wear but overall, remains strong. Outstanding, rich patina to wood and brass throughout. See pics.

Measures 10-3/4" long, overall. Usable length of blade is 3" long x 1-1/2" wide (at edge). Weighs 8.0 oz..
