Repaired with a unique & very strong steel plate patch secured with (4) thru-bolts. Otherwise, Good/G+ antique condition with moderate overall wear from normal use over the years. Minimal rust but moderate pitting throughout. Blade has many tiny nicks along entire length but nothing too bad and remains quite sharp. Handle is either original or a very old replacement and remains structurally solid & strong (despite the splits at each side, near head - see pics) with head firmly attached. Clearly stamped "J. HICKS" at each side of head. Awesome broad axe by a very rare tool maker!! See pics.
