Boxes
Being offered for sale is the vintage/antique HOMEMADE / FOLK ART WOODEN TOOL BOX (with original tin & wood tray, leather straps (both broken, see pics), iron/steel hinges & latch) plus a BONUS YALE PADLOCK (also broken, see explanation below) by unknown maker (no visible maker's mark(s)) from circa the early 20th century (best guess), as seen in the pictures/as described in the title. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES. Being offered for sale AS-FOUND, uncleaned. May require a thorough detailing to bring to its full potential. SATISFACTION GUARANTEED or your money back...no questions asked!
Good antique condition with moderate overall cosmetic wear and broken leather straps (both complete lengths of straps remain but have each snapped at one end, see pics) but NO breaks or repairs to any wood or iron hinges. Remains structurally solid and strong. Latching system requires a padlock to keep the lids secured shut, so we included a BROKEN Yale padlock that we had laying around. The shackle has been cut and NO key is included. The lock should be considered a bonus item. Entire box features outstanding, rich patina throughout. See pics.
Measures 19" wide x 8-3/4" deep x 9-1/4 tall (to top of gable). Weighs 11 lbs. 8.0 oz..
