Bottles
Being offered for sale is the VERY RARE antique BLOB-TOP "GOLDEN LAGER" (secondary embossing) HAND BLOWN GLASS BEER BOTTLE (blown in mold with applied blob lip, squat body w/ large "T/A" monogram trademark logo at front and smooth/un-embossed base, in a gorgeous yellow/golden amber color (PLEASE NOTE: when backlit, the color appears more yellow and when lit from above, it appears more golden/honey-amber...PLEASE SEE LAST PICTURE for color comparison reference) by "TIFFANY & ALLEN" (primary embossing) of "DOVER N.J." (also embossed at front), from circa the 1870's-1880's (best educated guess), as seen in the pictures/as described in the title. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR CONDITION NOTES. Being offered for sale AS-FOUND, uncleaned. May require a thorough detailing to bring to its full potential. SATISFACTION GUARANTEED or your money back...no questions asked!
Very Good DUG condition with moderate -to- severe haze/stains both inside & out BUT is free of any chips, cracks, breaks or repairs. Front of bottle's primary embossing is crisp and clearly visible. The "GOLDEN LAGER" embossing at opposite side is not quite as strong but is still easily seen & legible. There is a long & skinny air bubble in the blob that looks like an interior fracture but I am confident it is merely one of several minor maker's defects/imperfections. Being that this bottle is in such great condition, besides the haze/stains/small scuffs & scratches, it would seem that it would surely be a prime piece for tumbling...we leave this up to you! See pics.
Measures 7-3/4" tall, overall (base to lip) x 2-7/8" diameter (at base/body). Weighs 1 lb. 1.8 oz..
PLEASE NOTE: The inflated shipping charges on this item are to cover the high cost of insuring the package at full purchase price. Please take this into consideration and work it into your offer(s).
